Description

ha'Histadrut (as it called in short) is the biggest workers union in Israel. It was established in Haifa in 1920 as ha'Histadrut ha'Klalit shel ha'Ovdim ha'Ivrim be'Eretz-Israel (The General Federation of the Hebrew Workers in Israel Land), later changed to ha'Histadrut ha'Klalit shel ha'Ovdim be'Israel (The General Federation of the Workers in Israel) and again changed its name in the early 1990s to Histadrut ha'Ovdim ha'Kllit ha'Khadasha (The New Workers' General Federation) and with this change all former socialist-type symbols and the red flag became obsolete, adopting a new logo (stylized flower) and a new flag which is white with the emblem.
